Who we are
ML Depot is operated by Jorge Brasil. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our website and buy our books, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you make a purchase, we collect:
- Name — to identify your order
- Email address — to deliver your books and send your receipt
- Country — from your billing address, for tax compliance
- Purchase history — which books you bought, the format, and the amount paid
- Payment reference — the transaction ID from Stripe or NOWPayments (we never see or store your card number or crypto wallet address)
Why we collect it
- Deliver your books — we need your email to send download links
- Order records — for refunds, support, and accounting
- Tax compliance — EU VAT rules require us to know the buyer's country
Under GDPR, our legal basis for processing this data is contractual necessity(you're buying something from us, so we need your details to fulfil the order) and legal obligation (tax records).
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties for marketing
- We don't use tracking cookies or analytics (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel)
- We don't send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in via the newsletter signup
- We don't store your payment card details — Stripe handles that entirely
Third-party services
We use the following services to process your order:
- Stripe — processes card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay payments. Their privacy policy
- NOWPayments — processes cryptocurrency payments. Their privacy policy
- Resend — sends the delivery email with your download links. Their privacy policy
- Lulu — prints and ships paperback orders. Their privacy policy
How long we keep it
We keep your order records for 7 years to comply with EU tax and accounting requirements. After that, they are deleted.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format

Cookies
We only use essential cookies for the shopping cart (stored in your browser, not on our servers). We do not use any tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed.
